Ascending Mont Blanc
Since the historic first ascent by Jacques Balmat and Dr. Michel-Gabriel Paccard in 1786, the Mont Blanc, highest peak in the Alps, has captivated adventurers worldwide. Today, thousands of people embark on the ascent of this mythical mountain each year, perpetuating its legacy of courage and determination.
Through these two illustrations, I wanted to highlight the duality of the mountain and its towering peaks. While they may appear tranquil, covered in the serenity of snow, they remain inhospitable environments where danger lurks at every moment, symbolized by the constant risk of avalanches.
